GATHERING MINISTRIES

Community Worship Celebration

The Foyer Team:
Help create a warm, welcoming, family culture in the gatherings for regular and new attenders by serving as an usher, greeter/mingler or a parking assistant. This ministry is the first impression of the church and essential to creating a connected community!

Media/Tech Team:
This ministry creates an unique and worshipful atmosphere on Saturdays/Sundays at the worship gatherings. Lighting, sound, video, powerpoint and more are all part of this unique ministry team!

Musical Worship Team:
The Musical Worship Team’s vision is to become a community of singers and musicians devoted to personal spiritual growth, pursuing artistic excellence, and using new and old forms of music to create a fresh expression of worship for the church.

Masterpiece:
This ministry is comprised of a group of people who are passionate about visual art, film, drama, photography, design, textiles, spoken word, poetry, and other creative pursuits. Working with the pastors, media/tech team, and musical worship team, they seek to use their gifts and passions to create unique and intimate worship gatherings.

Coffee House:
Our vision is to see attenders at JCC come together and have time to connect with people of all backgrounds by providing a friendly, efficient, welcoming presence before and after the worship gatherings and at special events by serving coffee and food items.

Admin/Facility Team:
Help behind the scenes and make a difference! You can help with stuffing bulletins, counting the offering, setting up the facilities on the weekend, and/or with various administrative tasks through the week.

Prayer Team:
The vision of the Prayer Team is to be intimately connected with God and dependent on Him for all things through the avenue of prayer. The team prays together for the needs of the church body and for people during the worship gatherings.

CONNECTING MINISTRIES

LifeGroups:
A LifeGroup is a small group of 4-15 people who meet during the week to experience authentic community and commit to sharing life together, praying for one another, studying the Scriptures, and serving in the local community. Each LifeGroup has a leader to help facilitate the journey the group is on together.

Children—KidzJourney:
KidzJourney takes children on an imaginative journey of Biblical learning utilizing fantastic animations, music and graphics, all designed to teach them how to apply Bible concepts and stories to their everyday lives. Every 8 weeks there is a fresh and new themed adventure.

Students—ALIVE:
ALIVE throws open the doors to a dynamic, in-your-face approach to student ministry. If you are tired of the usual, join a group of students from across the area for an unusual take on church. Every week students meet to connect with friends, grow in their relationship with Christ and enjoy powerful worship.

Captivating—A Ministry for Women:
Set deep in the heart of every woman are three core desires. Every woman longs for Romance, to play an irreplaceable role in a Great Adventure, and to be the Beauty in the tale. It is for such that you were made. Journey together into the deep mysteries of our feminine souls in order to recapture our hearts. Through teaching sessions, films, music, guided periods of reflection and journaling, worship and beauty, we're inviting you to take the risk of coming alive as a woman—God's Captivating woman.

BraveHeart—A Ministry for Men:
“All Men Die…Few Men Really Live,” the theme from the Academy Award winning motion picture BraveHeart, and a theme woven throughout the fabric of Scripture is the guide for our men’s ministry. Through teaching sessions, films, guided periods of reflection and journaling, and question and answer, we have designed something far more than the average “men’s monthly breakfast or fish fry”—it's an expedition to recover your masculine heart, defined in the image of a passionate God.

SERVING MINISTRIES

ACTS ONE EIGHT

Jesus’ words in Acts 1:8 will serve as the backbone of our serving commitment—challenging every member to take Jesus’ words as He intended. We believe God can & will do awesome things if we develop an intentional strategy for reaching our Jerusalem, our Judea, our Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the Earth.

Jerusalem—Our Local Community:
There are people in our community who need the gospel, but may never set foot in our church building. They are our “Jerusalem” mission field and we will intentionally build strategies to reach them—from feeding the poor, to painting houses, to door-to-door evangelism efforts—we will stretch our imagination in developing creative, Christ-honoring ways to reach the lost in our Jerusalem.

Judea—Our State:
We will intentionally partner with the GA Baptist Convention in reaching the estimated 80% of our population who are not attending anyone’s church. One of the primary ways we will do this is by sponsoring new church starts in strategic areas of the state.

Samaria—Our Continent:
While we often think of North America as “Christian,” the reality is that an estimated 250 million people in our “Samaria” have no personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That is three of of every four people! The lostness of North America runs deep, and the gospel often meets a calloused response in this modern-day Samaria. We will partner with NAMB and other agencies in reaching out with the gospel in our Samaria.

Ends of the Earth:
Thousands of people around the world are coming to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Yet the stark reality remains: 1.7 billion people still have little or no access to the gospel message. And while Southern Baptists are going to international mission fields in unprecedented numbers, many more are needed. We will partner with the International Mission Board who stands poised to help us understand the needs, overcome the barriers of culture and language, and connect us with the mission opportunities that are providentially matched with our church’s vision and resources. The ends of the earth are within our grasp!
